Mermet Lake Birding

January 28 – Saturday 8am to noon

Meet at Restored Prairie parking area just before the lake.  This will be a mostly driving trip – around the lake looking for wintering waterfowl and other interesting birds.  Please sign up by contacting Anne:  email or call 618-524-9022. Signing up ensure notification in case of cancellation.

Bluebird Nest Box Workshop

birdbird nest box graphicJoin Shawnee Audubon Chapter members, John Wallace and Hank Mulder, for some family-friendly fun as they guide participants through an enjoyable and enlightening morning. You will discover much about these beautiful “Gems of Blue” as well as build your own bluebird nest box to take home!

The workshop will take place at War Bluff Valley Sanctuary, 228 Bushwack Road, Golconda.

All supplies instructions, handouts, nails and fun provided. All you need to bring is a hammer if you have one.

Participation is limited to 20 registrants. Pre-registration and a $10.00 registration fee is required.
